Novas soluções smart em plástico que oferecem muitas opções para uma manutenção preditiva

"Machine Learning", "Big Data" e "Indústria 4.0" – as verdadeiras vantagens da digitalização para os clientes escondem-se, muitas vezes, por detrás destas palavras-chave. Produtos inteligentes como os smart plastics da igus, permitem às empresas aumentar a fiabilidade dos seus sistemas, planear tarefas de manutenção com precisão e, assim, reduzir custos. A igus mostrou como isto funciona com as novas ideias da Feira de Hanôver de 2018.

Desde 2016, que a igus tem vindo a desenvolver uma família de produtos designada de "isense", na qual diversos sensores e módulos de monitorização dão inteligência a soluções plásticas, como calhas articuladas, cabos elétricos, guias lineares e anéis rotativos deslizantes. Estes medem, entre outras coisas, o desgaste durante o funcionamento e informam antecipadamente para que se possa planear reparações ou substituições. Com a ligação em rede através do módulo de comunicação da igus (icom), torna-se possível tanto a visualização online do estado através da notificação de alertas, por exemplo, num PC, tablet ou smartphone, como a integração direta numa infraestrutura dos clientes. Estes smart plastics já prevêem a duração de vida de numerosas aplicações, por exemplo, na indústria automóvel. Eles são continuamente desenvolvidos em próxima cooperação com os clientes. Estas novidades foram apresentadas pela igus na Feira de Hanôver.

Integração personalizada dos smart plastics
Os módulos isense que usam sensores para recolher dados em calhas articuladas, cabos elétricos, guias lineares ou anéis rotativos deslizantes, estão equipados com uma interface e podem ser facilmente integrados num quadro de comando. Um "Data logger" permite guardar os valores num cartão de memória SD. Os dados medidos pelos diferentes sistemas isense são então enviados, sem fios, para um módulo icom, sintetizados e processados. O cliente tem à sua escolha diversos conceitos de integração para a sua própria infraestrutura. Desta forma, o icom pode enviar os dados dos sensores para um PC ou integrar os dados através do computador para um software existente com uma solução de intranet. É também possível uma ligação ao Centro de Dados da igus. Neste caso, as recomendações de manutenção obtidas através de aprendizagem computacional e algoritmos de inteligência artificial são constantemente comparadas com os dados referentes a muitas aplicações existentes, por exemplo, no laboratório de testes da igus, com uma área de 2750 metros quadrados. "Graças aos numerosos resultados de testes que são introduzidos nas ferramentas de cálculo de duração de vida online, conseguimos prever com precisão o tempo que uma calha articulada irá funcionar de forma fiável numa determinada aplicação", acrescenta Richard Habering, Diretor da unidade de negócios de smart plastics recentemente criada na igus. "Os componentes isense proporcionam ao cliente uma segurança adicional através da atualização permanente da duração de vida. Isto porque inclui as atuais condições ambientais da aplicação. A manutenção e a substituição apenas ocorrem quando são realmente essenciais. Isto poupa tempo e custos de manutenção."
