Para uma produção segura e confiável na indústria de eletrônicos e semicondutores, são necessários componentes que possuam propriedades eletrostaticamente condutoras. Isso ocorre porque mesmo um pequeno choque elétrico já é capaz de destruir linhas de produção caras. A igus desenvolveu agora um novo material estável para o método SLS, para que os usuários possam fabricar suas peças de desgaste com propriedades ESD de maneira flexível e econômica. As peças especiais isentas de lubrificação feitas de iglidur I8-ESD podem ser impressas e enviadas em apenas alguns dias.


As peças resistentes ao desgaste na indústria de eletrônicos e semicondutores não só precisam ter uma longa vida útil, mas também devem ser eletrostaticamente condutoras, porque um aumento da carga eletrostática que não é dissipada por um material isolante pode destruir facilmente o produto. Para a fabricação aditiva rápida de peças especiais eletrostaticamente condutoras, a igus agora desenvolveu um novo tribo-polímero iglidur. O iglidur I8-ESD é o terceiro material que a igus oferece para o método SLS. As vantagens deste método são evidentes: o usuário possui uma grande liberdade de projeto e pode fabricar o componente sem nenhum custo de ferramenta. Além disso, nenhum resíduo plástico é produzido, pois o excesso de pó pode ser usado várias vezes e as peças impressas podem ser recicladas. As peças feitas com o novo pó SLS - como todos os materiais da igus - não precisam de lubrificação adicional e são muito estáveis estruturalmente. “Com o iglidur I8-ESD, agora incluímos um tribo-polímero em nossa gama de produtos com resistência de 3x107 Ω x cm. Além disso, o material é inerentemente preto. Como resultado, a coloração subsequente não é necessária, o que reduz os custos e aprimora o tempo de entrega”, explica Tom Krause, Chefe da Unidade de Negócios de Fabricação Aditiva da igus GmbH. “O usuário recebe um componente muito durável que vem com todas as propriedades desejáveis de ESD.”

O iglidur I8-ESD convence a todos com sua alta resistência ao desgaste
Os tribo-polímeros da igus são submetidos a vários testes no laboratório de 3.800 metros quadrados da igus. Aqui, um teste de oscilação mostrou que a resistência à abrasão de uma peça resistente ao desgaste iglidur I8-ESD sinterizada é duas vezes maior que a de um componente sinterizado de PA12. O iglidur I8-ESD também foi convincente em um teste de desgaste linear.
