The industrial 3D printing service from igus supplies parts made from their own wear-resistant plastics with no minimum order quantity. We offer solutions specifically for applications in motion where conventional materials quickly reach their limits - our plastics have up to 50 times higher wear resistance than regular 3D printing plastics. You simply upload the CAD model of your component online and receive it printed in the desired quantity.

Multi-material printing

In our 3D printing service, up to four different filaments can be used to produce a component in one single work step. This combines the advantages of two or more different materials in one part. Benefit from a long service life and resilience with the highly rigid igumid P150 and the wear-resistant iglidur i150 filaments.

Service life calculation

The industrial 3D printing service from igus offers you the option of calculating the expected service life of the printed components. To do so, simply select the components' sliding surface online by clicking on it and enter your application parameters. The data of the service life calculator is based on the results of 11,000 abrasion tests carried out annually at 450 test centres in the igus test laboratory.

The industrial 3D printing service from igus produces customised components of all kinds. Thanks to the freedom of geometry in additive manufacturing, there are no limits to the design of a part. We print plain bearings, toothed belt discs, gears, worm wheels and grippers, among other things.

Smoothing

Smoothing components significantly reduces surface roughness, improving the feel. The methods available are chemical smoothing and vibratory finishing. In both cases, the wall must be at least 1mm thick to ensure your component is stable and manufactured correctly.

Colouring

In the industrial 3D printing service, colouring in black can be booked immediately in the online tool. Other colours are available upon request. Colouring can reduce wear resistance by up to a factor of three, depending on the application. The mechanical specifications remain almost unchanged. A minimum wall thickness of 1mm is required for colouring.
