Petrol pumps at gas stations require frequent maintenance in order to ensure that customers can be sure, that the spent fuel volume actually corresponds with the displayed fuel volume. The fuel-measuring device “Autoset 500” required optimization. The main bearings were continuously immersed into gasoline, and conventional bearings were partially or totally destroyed by galvanic corrosive reactions. Bearings from the xiros® product range with stainless steel balls were the perfect solution: They are resistant to acid and corrosion, which extends the service life of the crankshaft.
